The girls and I made these cute little sugar cubes to use for the next family afternoon tea. They were simple and quick to pull together. They just need to be made a day in advance!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- Silicone Mold with Sugar Cube Sized Cavities
- Food Coloring
- Water
Preparation
Mix sugar in a bowl with one or two drops of food coloring. Smoosh around until most of the food coloring is broken up. When you are done, you will still see very dark sugar clumps here and there.
Add a teaspoon of water to the sugar. Mix together. Add another teaspoon of water if needed. The sugar should become like we sand, but should not dissolve.
Push the sugar in the silicone molds and allow to dry overnight.
The next day, push them out of the molds and store in an airtight container until ready for use. Such an adorable, yet easy addition to any tea.
